If anything, I feel MUSIC FROM THE ELDER was "ahead of its time". Its worth another listen. I feel the album suffers because of two things. 1. It doesnt SOUND like a KISS album, or at least what one would think a KISS album should sound like at the point it was made. Maybe its too "experimantal" for most peoples tastes/5().

By the end of , Kiss knew that their next album had to be a strong one, a glorious return to hard rock à la their classic exemelinethrey.ratttaderppargemebarblarilquirecjee.co drummer Eric Carr had refueled the band's desire to rock, and the quartet began working on a straight-ahead rock album in early Midway through, the band felt that they were rewriting past songs, and the sessions were aborted.

The Oath Lyrics. 2. Fanfare Music from “The Elder Gene said, “As a KISS album I give it a zero. As a bad Genesis album, I give it a two.” Paul Stanley gave it a question mark.

Paul Stanley: My Life In 10 Kiss Songs; Top 10 best Kiss songs as chosen by you; Frehley had a lucky escape. For a band that built its success on simplistic anthems, Music From “The Elder” was a huge leap in terms of ambition. Sadly, the vision far out-stripped the reality – the likes of Just A Boy and The Oath sounded like a bunch of.

Aug 20,  · "Music From The Elder" is already a polarizing album among Kiss fans and non-fans alike. To add more fuel to the fire there are also two predominant running orders. The one originally released in the U.S. in began with "The Oath".
  9. Kagajinn says:
Music from The Elder is one of the more enigmatic rock albums ever produced. Most critics and fans pretty much hated it, but when experienced with objectivity, this album is one of Kiss' best albums and also one of the best concept albums ever produced. It seems a mix of bad timing and preconceptions doomed this work/5().
