Big houses were burned during the war of Independence and one can imagine the emotions running in everybody at that time, so it is a very emotive title for the music in this Rock album/5().

   Jan 24,  · U2 is a bit played out these days. But this album is still a favorite. I think it's their most consistent, start to finish. Joshua Tree is the masterpiece, but this album (another Eno production) creates and maintains an attitude as well as if not better than anything in the U2 catalog/5().

   Ok, so I've got the original vinyl and the cd from but this collection is not just about the music - it's a piece of art, memorabillia and a great way to celebrate this release. Although I liked October from Day #1, The Unforgettable Fire was the album that set U2 back on track to mega-stardom/5().

   Of all the things that can be said about the re-issue of this album, the most important is the listening experience. If you own any of the previous releases of The Unforgettable Fire, you'll know that experimentally and sonically, this is one of U2's best albums hands down, but for whatever the recording restrictions that existed were at the time, the album, CD, cassette, mp3, radio-play /5().
