For all you Americans (like me), don't be turned off by the UK-centric feel of this album. The Exploited have plenty of venom for America and Ronald Reagan, too. Incidentally, because the issue has been raised, let me point out that bandmembers of The Exploited were NOT into nazism. They weren't neo-nazis or holocaust deniers/5(35).

Punks Not Dead is the debut studio album by the Scottish punk rock band The Exploited, released in April on Secret Records. Working class and loyal to the first impulses of the s punk movement, the album was a reaction to critics who believed the punk rock genre was dead, and went against popular trends such as new wave and post-punk.

Mar 14,  · saw the The Exploited launch their first vinyl assault upon stupidity, complacency and corruption when they demolished the indie charts with the one-two knockout of the “Army Life” and “Barmy Army” eps on their own Exploited Records label. Their debut album “Punks Not Dead” launched a new breed of politically outspoken anarcho.
